This time she is defending herself for contributing $10,000 to Pennsylvania State Treasurer Bob Casey. Casey is a Democrat challenging Rick Santorum for his Senate seat. That in itself does not sound odd. What struck me as odd is that Casey is very anti-abortion. This day an age being a democrat and pro-life is an oxymoron.

Didn't we just listen to the Hillary wing of the Democratic party preach the danger of Justices Alito and Roberts because of their pro-life stance? They were preaching the fear of Roe being overturned and now suddenly she is supporting someone who is pro-life. What? I didn't get it. Then I though to my self, "THINK LIKE A LIBERAL", and then it hit me! (actually I read her statement on why she did it) She did it to help the fight against the President. Ahh, it makes sense now. They are putting aside one of the few core beliefs they have left to help their war against Bush. The hatred they have for the President will help them put aside what they believe in, to help the struggle against the tyranny of Bush. They are deeply inspiring.........

Bush Speak

President Bush often get hammered for his use of the English language or mispronunciation of words. At a rally today at the Capital he said something very profound and promising. I just had to post it.

"We're working to persuade more of our fellow Americans of the rightness of our cause. This is a cause that appeals to the conscience of our citizens and is rooted in America's deepest principles," the president said. "And history tells us that with such a cause we will prevail. You believe, as I do, that every human life has value, that the strong have a duty to protect the weak, and that the self-evident truths of the Declaration of Independence apply to everyone, not just to those considered healthy or wanted or convenient. These principles call us to defend the sick and the dying, persons with disabilities and birth defects, all who are weak and vulnerable, especially unborn children," the president said.

The more I read it the more I feel sick

I have always been pro-life. This has the GOP crying foul and the Dems beating their chests.

The Dems say they want the truth to be told about the Iraq war and the mishandled, misrepresented intelligence and they plan to hold the Republicans accountable. The Republicans say this is an example of the Dems throwing a temper tantrum. Bill Frist says its a slap in the face of the senate leadership like we have never seen before. Man I love partisan politics! Do not read any sarcasm into that because I really do love this.

This isn't about any of the above. What this really is, is the Democrats way of trying to put a nail in the GOP's coffin. After the rough week the President has had and the CIA leak probe as well as his poll numbers slipping, the minority is on the attack. They know they can succeed in some ways to make the Republican majority look bad and increase their own stock value. They want to make the Republicans look like children who are in trouble or criminals who need to be charged with a crime. It's kind of funny they supported the Iraqi intelligence when slick Willie was president.

The Democrats have to do this to because it is key to their survival. They have lost the Congress consistently, they lost the Presidency in 2000 and 2004, and now their hold on the Supreme Court is disappearing. I am looking forward to this battle. I look forward to this fight because I know this is what's right. Up until yesterday we were just supposed to trust the President and support Harriet. Well I trust the President but he isn't perfect. John Roberts was an excellent nomination. Even Reid agreed. The problem is that all we know about Miers is that she filled out a survey in 1989 that would lead us to believe that she supports overturning Roe.

That was 1989, this is 2005. What does she believe now? What is her judicial philosophy? Does she have a judicial philosophy? We don't know. The outlook on Harriet is too hazy. I hope our President knows he has to do more for his base than just put someone in front of us, for us to support them.

I don't mind that she is a Bush crony as long as she is qualified. I do want to see abortions dwindle down to very low numbers and have life celebrated in this nation. I do believe we need more pro family, God fearing people in office and on the bench. But what I do not want, is only those things in our leadership and our judicial system. I want those who are qualified and those with a judicial philosophy that agrees with my own. I just don't know if Hazy Harriet is that person.

Bush and Katrina

I am getting sick of hearing that the President didn't handle Katrina quick enough or that he didn't care or that his response was racist. I know that sentence had serious errors but I don't care right now. Everything is coming out now. Much to the disbelief of many left wing nuts, Bush was involved before Katrina hit. Bush was involved after Katrina hit. I guess the dems don't want you to know that. Even though the Mayor of New Orleans had the means to evacuate the low income folks, he chose not to. Even though Bush stood ready to help when called upon, the Governor did not call. President Bush made those calls. Now Bush feels it necessary to do damage control. That is a shame. We have seen in Florida and in Texas how to handle a situation like this. I think the leadership, or lack there of, in Luisianna should take a lesson. I know I did not provide a great deal of specifics but I don't need to. The details are out there you just have to want to find them.

Bill Clinton is a hypocrite

A hypocrite: see Bill Clinton. That is how my dictionary reads now that I read the most recent comments from former President Clinton. Clinton has displayed his true colors once again when discussing Katrina and Iraq. As you read this keep in mind the things Bill Clinton has said in the past in regards to the war.

Bill Clinton has decided to dog the President about his handling of Iraq and the hurricane. Despite his former support of the Iraq war Clinton now wants to focus only on weapons of mass destruction, price tags and go at it alone. All of which are old arguments that are very tired. When it comes to the Iraq war we all know how Clinton felt while he was president. He made the case himself for the war. That poses the question, how would Bill have handled the war and how would he have paid for it. The answer is he wouldn't have. He would have never gone to war and removed the Arab Fuhrer. So once again he is no help there.

Clinton also talks about how we are paying for the war and Katrina. First thing, he shouldn't care how we pay for Katrina! We take care of these people and not complain. It could be anyone of us. Second what Bill ignores is the increase to revenue to government this year. Year to date an increase of over 100 billion. Had not been for Katrina we would be paying down our debt faster than plan. And Bill, that's because of the tax cuts. We better get used to this because its time for Hillary to start her run for '08. See Ya....

I'm Back

Well I've been gone quite a while. I like personal accounts and I agree that law makers must fix the problem before it gets worse(especially since I will be negatively affected if nothing is done). My first issue is that taking 6% of your Social Security tax and investing it. My second issue is that the president is entertaining a tax increase for the upper 10% of incomes to fund the Social Security fix.

What I don't like about the voluntary private accounts is that it is a part of your current benefit. What you take out of Social Security is out. If you lose it you lose it. I do like the rate of return you can get in the private market compared to in the Social Security system. In just about all scenarios you receive a considerable increase. What I propose is the Social Security plan matches what you invest. Not unlike what happens in a 401k. Doing this would give us an extra account that would supplement our S.S. income and help us pay for things like prescriptions and doctor visits. It would also give us something more to pass on to our children. The only problem with that idea is paying for it.

To pay for the benefits I will not support a tax increase or more borrowing. I will support raising the retirement age to 67 but that won't do it alone. What I would like to see is a national lottery. A national lottery would more than pay for Social Security for the long term. I know it doesn't sound very conservative but it will raise a great deal of capital. Most will not agree with me on a national lottery but it you have to agree that a great deal of people play the lottery.

To those liberals in congress and those conservatives who don't want to fix Social Security I understand. I understand that they they are not concerned as much about the citizens they represent as much as they are concerned about partisan politics. I also understand that their retirement is not in jeopardy so they aren't too concerned about fixing it. Thanks Congress.

The Bush Doctrine

First I would like to apologize to any regular readers who haven't seen a new post in two months. I wont do that again.

I would like to write about the Bush Doctrine in the Middle East. Not too long ago we heard from left wingers like Michael Moore and Ted Kennedy telling us the war in Iraq was wrong and a bad idea. Then after we won the war in seemingly record time, we heard there was no exit plan from the same people. Then we heard the peace keeping effort was not working well enough to have meaningful elections. Then after elections with an incredible turnout things seemed a bit muffled. Thank God!

An observation that makes me chuckle a little bit is the current situation in Syria and Lebanon. During the Presidents trip to Europe George Bush called for Syria's complete withdrawal from Lebanon. You suddenly saw Lebanon citizens marching in the street wanting their God given right to freedom. You also suddenly saw Syrian troops pulling out of Lebanon. Wow. We are seeing the Presidents Middle East doctrine coming to fruition. Granted we still haven't seen complete withdrawal of Syrian troops from Lebanon but we are seeing a public negotiation that Syria knows it will lose. President Assad does not want Syria to become Iraq.

Lebanon will be the third nation in the Middle East who's citizens will get to enjoy freedom. Freedom is definitely on the march and liberals hate it.........Kind of ironic that a political party that is so "concerned" about our civil liberties does not want basic human rights for other nations.

Inauguration T.V.

I could say that this column is about liberal bias in the media but it is not. I could say it is about what was on t.v. inauguration night but it is not. Election night t.v. was very interesting because of what each channel put on the airwaves. Most interesting of all was what ABC was looking for on the ABC news website. They posted a request for family's who had a funeral for a loved one, who was a casualty in the Iraq , scheduled for Thursday January 20. This is what the were searching for for their inauguration day story. No surprise to me. Surprising yet to some.

Nightline, on the 20th, aired a story about those who believe that Bush won the election because of voting irregularities in Ohio. Good Morning America had an interview with a protester who lost her son in Iraq. These were their lead stories. Not surprising to me. Surprising yet to some.

On the cable side CNN and MSNBC almost fell off of the ratings map. Compared to the inauguration of 2001 MSNBC's veiwership was down 47%. Thats about half of their audience. CNN's viewership was down 14% compared to '01.

Now let's take a look a look at Fox News viewership. They were up 57% compared to '01. Not surprising to me. Surprising yet to some.

This post is not about ratings or liberal bias, nor is it about what was on t.v inauguration night. It's about Brit Hume, Drudge, and other members of the new media. The old guard and the their agenda is fading away and they can no longer hide their intent. Brit Hume is perhaps the best and deserves the highest praise. There is no better thinker, listener or commentator on the news today. Brit Hume's Grapevine actually got my mind stirring on this subject. The Drudge Report has become a news site that I check about 5 times a day for breaking news. Out with the old...................

Time to ring in the New Year with very positive economic news

Well the new year is here, the holidays are over and W's second term will start soon. Knowing the inauguration is right around the corner almost makes it seem like there is one more major holiday left. All of those things put me in a very good mood. On that note this will be a very positive post. The holidays went went very well for retailers and the economic forecast for 2005 looks very strong.

During the election you would have thought the economy was tanking despite GDP growth in the near 4's through most of the year and on top of that the unemployment rate stayed low at 5.4%. Now we are heading into the new year coming off of a strong 4th quarter. All the leading economists agree that growth will be strong but modest this year. Most see growth at about 3.9%. A small few say that is too slow but most say that's just right. Modest but solid growth will stifle inflation, keep interest rates from rising too quickly and will provide long term medicine for the declining dollar. Most economists also believe we will continue to see job growth throughout '05. Some say the jobless rate will drop as low as 5.1% while most say it will drop right around 5.2 or 5.3. When you hit a 5.1 or 5.2 you are almost at full employment. At that point there aren't many people left to give jobs to. It really looks like a very good year coming.

As far as the declining value of the dollar goes I foresee that as a positive also. I won't bore you with all of the ways but I will tell you my favorite. When the dollar rebounds it will be at the expense of countries in the Axis of Corruption. French and German economies rely mainly on their exports and their growth is treading near zero per cent. When the dollar declines we can afford less of their goods which hurts their growth and causes the U.S. to increase the amount of goods we produce at home. That means more jobs at home. In turn the trade deficit will decrease and that will help increase the value of the dollar.

So much for the depression John Kerry kept talking about..............

The truth about Arnold

Arnold was great during the RNC and for stump speeches before the election but now we are seeing the real Arnold. We have known that Arnold is somewhat of a fiscal conservative. What we are finding out now is that that Governator is a social liberal. That's right the popular and fashionably political Arnold Schwarzenegger is pro marriage, pro choice, and is happy to use tax payer dollars to fund embryonic stem cell research. If that comes as a surprise just take a moment to think about two things: he was elected governor in a wildly liberal California and he is married to a Kennedy.

The latest from Arnold is he now wants the Republican Party to move a little leftwards especially on the social issues. Arnold believes that republicans can pick up another 5 percent of voters who consider themselves closer to the center. I'm not sure what he is thinking, since we are on the verge of an election where voters came out in droves to let people know that's not the direction they want to go in. This presidential election voters took the side of tradition and conservatism. I'm not saying everyone who voted for the President was a right winger, but they certainly did not want to go down the leftward path. Voters said they did not weren't ready for gay marriage. They said they weren't ready for partial birth abortion on demand. They also said they agreed that aborted fetuses should not be used for research.

Arnold should realize that if the party moved leftwards they would lose as many votes as they picked up or more. A good number of conservatives are Republicans because they are just that, conservative. Not just fiscally conservative but socially also. Sorry Arnold, no amendment for you..............

Erasing History

Erasing HistoryI am sure that by now everyone has heard about the school in California that has banned portions of the Declaration of independence because the document references God. A teacher has been suspended from the school because he continued to teach from documents that mention God that include the Declaration of independence. Sound unbelievable? It shouldn't. Progressives have been trying to erase God and Christianity from the American Culture for years. What is more amazing now is that progressives want our Founding Fathers censored because they were Christians.
The teachers name is Steven Williams. Williams teaches fifth grade at Stevens Creek Elementary in Cupertino, California. His boss, Patricia Vidmar, removed him from his job because he would not censor history. I am personally outraged by this and am calling the school and the school district to let them know. I encourage you to also.
The Principal of Stevens Creek Elementary school is Patricia Vidmar. The number to the school is (408) 245-3312. The school district is the Cupertino District. The number to the Board of Education is (408)252-3000. Their e-mail is board@cupertino.k12.ca.us . The superintendent is William E. Bragg, P.H.D. You can e-mail Dr. Bragg at bragg_bill@cupertino.k12.ca.us . I encourage you to let them know how you feel.
Even if you are progressive I encourage you to consider that cherry picking our history is not good for education or accuracy schools. It has to stop before it goes any further. Our next stop might be erasing all of our history where slavery was involved.

The Gig is up for the Axis of Corruption

For those of you who have not read my blog before I have named a handful of countries the "Axis of Corruption." France, Germany, Russia, and the U.N. leadership. We have learned now that France, Germany, Russia and the U.N. administration were all illegally involved in the Oil for Food program which gave millions in kickbacks to Saddam. It is clear that the U.N. knew about it and did nothing to stop it. It's no wonder those nations did not support us in our efforts in Iraq. These countries are way to corrupt to be concerned about human rights or the war on terror. It will take more than a terrorist attack on their homeland to get them involved and at that point they would probably blame Bush.

We continue to see the true side of Chirac. France gave a State Funeral to Arafat who is a tenured terrorist. To me Chirac is anti Israel and pro terrorism. Not only did he show support to Arafat but he was also working illegally with Iraq who funded Suicide bombers and there families. Saddam also gave asylum to terrorists while he was in power. That brings up another interesting point. When this war on terror started one of Bush's objectives was to cut off sources of income to the terrorists. By ousting Saddam we cut off money from the U.N., France, Germany and Russia to the terrorists. That may sound conspiratorial but it is just plain true.

U.N. Secretary General Cofi Annon has now been given the no confidence motion from the U.N. This apparently is unprecedented for a U.N. Secretariat. Amazing, the rest of the world has no confidence in one of the leaders of the A.O.C.

My final though revolves around our desire to "repair" relations with these countries who we supposedly alienated by invading Iraq. These countries are as corrupt as the day is long and for some reason nobody wants to talk about that. People want to focus on why all these people hate the United States. Collectively the Axis of Corruption needs make every effort to repair their relations with us. They were in bed with terror and were terror's financiers. This is our country not Europe's. We need to act like it........

60 Million!

ITS TRUE. It's now over 60 million votes for President Bush. That is 60, 480, 193 to be exact. Other than just being happy about this, I want to write about the states that Bush lost. You read that right. I want to look at the numbers from a handful of states that mostly, were lost by the President. By doing this I want to send another message to the progressives and the Elites. Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont. Ok, that's more than a handful.

My first stop is Connecticut. Connecticut is traditionally a Democratic stronghold and this year Kerry won Connecticut to no ones surprise. Bush took 686, 923 votes to Kerry's 847,666. President Bush had 561,094 votes in 2000. That is a pickup of 125,829 votes. This pickup is during a quote great divide in the country.

Next is Hawaii. Bush lost Hawaii by over 37,000 votes. 194,184 votes for Bush. In 2000 Bush carried 137,845 votes. Pickup of 56,339.

Next is Maine. Bush lost by 55,156 votes. 308,997 votes for Bush. In 2000 Bush took 286,616 votes which is a pickup of 22,381 votes.

Now Massachusetts which is Kerry's home state. Bush lost by big margin of 726,753 votes. Bush's increase over 2000 though is 188,661. That is a large increase for such a liberal state.

New York. Kerry won New York by over a million votes which is not surprising to anyone. What is somewhat surprising is that Bush picked up 377,375 votes.

In Rhode Island Bush lost but still picked up 30,790 votes. Kerry actually received less votes than Al Gore did in 2000.

Finally in Liberal Vermont Bush picked up just over 1,000 votes over 2000. My point here is that Bush had huge gains all across the country. To the elitists and the Progressives who say they would rather die than be in a red state, I say to them, You are the minority now. If you are are in a blue state be careful, because there is red all around you. There are more of us than there are of you and there are more of us all around you than ever before.

Why Bush won

Honestly I am very tired of how much I am hearing about why Bush won and who voted for him. I do want to weigh in myself because I don't like what I am hearing from the news media. Over 59 million voters cast their ballots for President Bush. Voters were obviously passionate about both candidates or else Kerry would not have received 55 million votes himself. This is a major shift from 2000 when the nation split 49% to 49% with neither candidate getting more than about 50 million votes. If I dare use exit polls (bite my tongue) they are very revealing about the electorate. The only problem I have with the exit polls is that they separate the war on terror from the war in Iraq. Even if you don't believe that the war in Iraq has anything to do with the war on terror, you probably still believe that Iraq is a national security issue. So I lump the two together when talking about the exit poll numbers. I am also very tired of hearing about the Evangelical vote. So let's explore the numbers.

The number one motivator for voters for Bush was the war. Terror and Iraq. Lumped together that accounted for roughly 34% of the voters. People obviously believed that the war on terror is being handled effectively and do not want to hand it off to a dove. This also showed that, despite the chaos in Iraq, voters agreed that it was still the right thing to do.

What came next might surprise you. Economy, jobs and taxes. This was supposed to be Kerry's issue. In the end it looks like people can see through Kerry's spin after all and see that the economy is strong and growing stronger. It also sounds like people don't want there taxes raised under a tax and spend liberal.

After all of that came moral values. Moral values were the last on the pole. As far as Evangelical voters go; they were only a small percent of the moral values percentage. Not an overwhelming coalition. Now keep in mind that I am not undermining Evangelicals in any way. I believe Evangelicals and Catholics and all Christians are a huge part of the moral fabric of this nation. When it comes to this election, they were a very small part of the electorate.

As I close I have to write one more time about the mandate. Bush won a mandate. The only ones who dispute this are those who are on the losing side. I will tell you why. Number one; Tom Daschle voted out. Daschle was a major obstructer to Bush. The people spoke. Number two; when Reagan and Nixon won by landslides the Republicans lost seats in Congress. This time the Republicans gained in both branches of Congress. That hasn't happened since 1964 . When Clinton won re-election, in decisive fashion, he lost seats in Congress.(As he did throughout his presidency) The people spoke. Number three; Bush is the first presidential candidate to win with more than 50% of the popular vote since George H.W. Bush in 1988. The people spoke. I'll stop there...you get the picture............

Is Kofi Annon for real?

I shouldn't be surprised by this but I am. The Secretary General of the United Nations came out against our renewed efforts to re-secure Fallujah. What?! In a letter obtained by the A.P. Annon writes "I have in mind not only the risk of increased insurgent violence, but also reports of major military offensives being planned by the multinational force in key localities such as Fallujah." He went on to say the military efforts, "in which the main burden seems bound to be borne by American forces," would keep Iraqis from the polls. Annon went on to say "I, and all my colleagues at the United Nations Secretariat, want to help but we need a conducive environment if elections are to produce a positive effect." He is either unsure of his position or he does not want the coalition or the Iraqis to be successful.

After we learned about the Oil for Food scandal, this only solidifies the belief that the United Nations still does not support Iraq's God given right to freedom. It makes complete sense that theU.N. and the nations that I now call the Axis of Corruption, did not want the war because of their illegal ties to Hussein. I would think at this point they would want us to succeed, despite not wanting to help, so that Iraq does not become a totally terrorist state. Apparently they don't. Annon and the Axis of Corruption ie; Russia, France, Germany, and the U.N. administration, would rather us fail so they can gloat and continue wallowing in their incompetence.

Elections must be mandatory in Iraq or our efforts will be in vain. As a proud citizen and supporter of this country I will not stand for it. My wife and I spent an entire year during the Iraq war wondering if our son would be ok. Thank God he is but some of close friends weren't and we can't let the job go unfinished. No matter what the U.N. says.

Over 59 Million votes worth of political capital

The President had a little swagger and a lot more confidence as he greeted the media today. His intent was to make the elite media and the progressives realize that they are the minority now. His vote total was more than any candidate in history. Over 59 Million! The final Electoral count will be 286 to 252. That equals to a little more than 3.5 million popular votes to each of the 34 electoral college votes the President won with. Not close. Not even a little. This is a mandate no matter what the progressives say. If you ask the Vice President he will tell you it's a mandate. If you ask the president he will tell you he has political capital and he plans to use it.

There is another reason I think it's a mandate. The Congress. The new balance of power gives the Senate a 55 to 44 Republican lead with 1 left leaning independent. The House balance is 231 to 200 with 1 independent. Not filibuster proof but decisive and solid. The people have spoken and they said the elite media and the progressives do not run this country. The everyday hard working people with solid beliefs and solid values are here and we are the majority.

The elite believes the people that voted for Bush are hillbillies and idiots who live in a fly over zone to get to their coasts lines. There problem is they are wrong. If you look at the popular vote you will see that large numbers of "red voters" live on those coast lines. Not a majority but they are large numbers. On November 2nd the country voted for life, they voted for family, they voted for marriage, they voted for traditional values and a President who shares those beliefs. Thank God. I will stop now. Before I go I ask that as a country we remember Elizabeth Edwards in our prayers as she enters a serious battle.

Time is up. The choice is clear.

Less than a day left and the polls are closer than ever. Bush still holds a small lead that I hope will translate into a huge electoral victory for the President. There is one issue I want to revisit on this election eve. Bin Laden.

The most recent terror tape is awfully revealing about Bin Laden, his problems and his hopes. This most recent terror tape has a few lines in it that caught peoples attention. Bin Laden said he "will spare any state that votes against President Bush from being attacked." Words like these tell us two things. Bin Laden wants John Kerry elected! If in your mind your asking why, I will tell you. Bin Laden knows that if we elect Kerry things will take a shift backwards and we will be back on defense not offense. It also tells us that the Presidents policies have kept any further attacks from surfacing. Bin Laden is using tapes and mind games because his network is disrupted and he cant mobilize anymore. It cant be any more clear. Bin laden also said "any state that votes for Kerry has chosen to make peace with us." I said it before and I will repeat it. If we elect John Kerry, we will put our security at risk. Kerry will spend his time appeasing the rest of the world while compromising our security. Freedom will not be on the march, Al Qeada will!

I cant tell you how to vote. I can ask, that when you vote, you think about marriage, life, security and freedom. Not just our own but peoples everywhere. Thank you for reading, and please go vote.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://allamericansource.blogspot.com/2004/11/time-is-up-choice-is-clear.html' title='Time is up. We know Kerry is for higher taxes and socialized health care. We also know he thinks George Bush is an utter failure, and despite supporting him and agreeing with him on the Iraq war, he now opposes it and says Bush is wrong. The problem is that leaves a great deal of unanswered questions.

Question one. If John Kerry wants a global test to be passed before wage war on another country, then why did he vote against the Gulf War? The Gulf war passed any global test unanimously. Kerry still voted against it. That is still unexplainable.

Question two. John Kerry opposes partial birth abortion. Or does he? He voted against a bill that would ban the brutal procedure. Kerry cited that there was no provision for the life or health of the mother. Well, there was a provision for the life of the mother. On the other hand I would really like to know what Kerry means exactly by the health of the mother. If the baby is far enough along to be delivered or supported by machines, I would like to know the health issue that would arise from letting the baby be born or forcing labor? It appears to me that "health" could be anything from a headache to a hemorrhoid. We won't know anyway so why guess.

Question three. If Kerry opposes gay marriage why did he vote against the defense of marriage act signed by President Clinton. Either he doesn't oppose gay marriage or he has changed his mind on another issue. Either way we won't know because he won't answer the question.

Question four. How will he pay for his healthcare proposal when his suggested tax increase won't generate nearly enough revenue? He has danced around this question and won't answer it. In my opinion he will do what he has voted to do his entire career. He will try to raise taxes on everyone. But we don't know because he won't tell us.

I won't tell you Bush has made all of the right choices but the big issues like Iraq, Afghanistan, Taxes, and the economy, he has stood firm and made the right choices. The situation in Iraq right now is definitely not what the administration expected but that doesn't make the war the wrong choice. John Kerry seems to not know where he stands on a lot of issues because he either changes his mind or says the opposite of what he votes. The choice is clear to me. We need principled, steady and resolute leadership.

Russia, Iraq, Weapons, Kerry, on and on and on and on........

There are two news items that need to be dealt with immediately. One is Kerry blasting the President over missing arms and two is the new terror tape that is being held by ABC news

The first thing is Kerry jumping on this story before all the facts came out. Kerry is stumping all over the country telling voters that Bush is irresponsible and making more mistakes in Iraq. He even made a campaign ad out of it. He did this before he had any of the facts about the story. You would assume that now that the facts are out that Kerry would have egg on his face....But he doesn't. The mainstream media was fast to pick up on the missing weapons story but they still won't pick up on facts or the TRUTH. We now know more disturbing news than before. Russia apparently help move the weapons out of Iraq to Syria before the war started(long before the time Kerry is telling people). Lets see....Not only has oil for food been exposed now we have the Russians helping Iraq. All to make the U.S. look silly. All you hear in the news is that we lost weapons in Iraq. Kerry will indeed say anything to get elected. Visit www.drudgereport.com for the complete story

The second is the new terror tape that ABC news is holding. It doesn't surprise me that ABC is holding on to the story to try to hurt Bush. What the real story here is what the tape contains. The English speaking narrator says the U.S. will be attacked again making 9/11 look small and it is because we elected George Bush President. Because of Bush destroying the Taliban and because he "waged war against Islam" we are going to be hit again, worse this time. We constantly here about new threats but this sticks out in a new way. This proves that the terrorists are afraid of President Bush and do not want him re-elected. They know they will have an easier time with Kerry because he will pander to the U.N. and allow our sovereignty to be weakened. Visit Drudge for this story too. It is amazing to me how transparent their fear of Bush is.

Just take a moment and picture our possible future. John Kerry wasting 6 months waiting on the U.N. to give him a passing grade on his foreign policy decisions. Then starting over when it doesn't pass the global test. Meanwhile Al Qaeda will be on the march, instead of freedom..........

Jobs and education are one in the same

A great number of people (including republicans) faulted the President and Vice President for talking about the importance of education when asked about job growth in the debates. With an unemployment rate of 5.4% this shouldn't be as big of a deal as it is. It is what it is. Kerry and Edwards both said something to the effect of; I thought the question was about jobs? Well I will tell you a few personal stories and explain why I believe jobs and education are one in the same.

In high school I worked full time(or as close I could get to it). My grades were not very good and I did not graduate on time. This was direct result of bad choices I made. After high school I continued to work and did not further my education. I have worked retail jobs since then and had to work very hard to impress the right people to get the promotions I needed to better support my family. Only last September did I find a really good job in sales. My current job allows me to only work 40 hours, make better money, and my company pays for my college through tuition reimbursement. That took 13 years. While I am proud of my success I am very limited in my choices for jobs. Without a higher education and my only experience being in retail I have hit a ceiling. If the retail sector were to tank and companies weren't hiring I would become very nervous. If I were to lose my job in that situation I would not have many options. Right now I do not have very many options. That is not Bush's fault and that is not his fathers and that is not Clinton's fault. It is mine. I made the choice not to go to school. I understand that not many kids can afford to go to college but I also know that not many kids make the right decisions in high school. The old saying says, "If you make your bed you have to lie in it." That is what I am doing now.

I understand this message doesn't sound very compassionate to those who are losing their jobs to outsourcing but outsourcing is a different animal all together. The economy is changing. In order to protect myself from the unemployment line I have to be educated so that I have more choices. The President is right about job growth and education. If you have no skills and no other training and you lose your job you will struggle. Education is the answer............

Could Bob Taft cost George Bush the election?

As I take a look at the unemployment situation across the country, I see a large problem in about 4 different states. Oregon, Michigan, South Carolina, and Ohio. These 4 states are 4 out 6 that seem to be well outside the national average of 5.4%. Speaking of the national average, it is lower now than it was in the 70's, 80's, and 90's . Only a few times has it been significantly lower. During the recession of the early 90's the average was in the sevens. It hit as high as 7.8%. In 1996 during the election the national average was 5.4 %, just as it is now. The problem with averages though, is that there are numbers below it and above it.

There are some states that the president won't win and he knows it. At the same time he knows he can win without them. There is one state that causes a historical problem for the president. Ohio. No republican has every won the presidency without carrying Ohio. The president is teetering with losing Ohio. The unemployment rate in Ohio is 6.4%. One full point above the national average.

I understand that the economy is cyclical and job numbers go up and down. I also know that Governor Taft has failing economic policy. Not just him but his state reps as well. PNC Financial Services reported that Ohio's economy will only grow at a rate of .2% this year or add fewer than 11,000 jobs. To put those numbers into perspective let's look at census numbers from the Ohio department of Development. There are about 11 1/2 million people living in Ohio and roughly 720,000 people out of work. There isn't much room left for improvement this year. While claiming to be conservative Bob Taft has been raising taxes. While claiming to be a republican he raises gas taxes during times of very slow economic growth. To me he sounds more like a democrat. Had he followed the presidents lead and reduced the tax burden and done more to incentivise companies to not outsource jobs, maybe we would not be in this position now. Under Taft Ohio has gone from 14th to 3rd on the list of states with the highest local and state taxes. It's hard to get people to spend more money when the government keeps taking more and more of it.

So I have to conclude with a resounding 2 thumbs down for performance of Bob Taft as Governor. I made a mistake in voting for him and so did a lot of other Ohioans. It would be a great tragedy if President Bush lost the election because of Bob Taft's gubernatorial incompetence. The irony of my vote for Taft is that it just might have cancelled out my vote for Bush...............

One Last Time

When Michael Moore came out with his movie and all of his arrogant ignorance, I thought there must be some truth to it. I thought, people are believing it, people are listening, something must be true. So I did some investigating and found out that there were at least 59 lies or deceit in it. So from that point on I became very cautious about what to believe and what to listen to. Which made me very skeptical about watching Kerry vs Kerry on www.rnc.org. I was very entertained and also very discouraged that nearly half of the country supports him. Do watch the video on Kerry at rnc.org because it shows how utterly inconsistent Kerry is concerning Iraq.

Now lets talk about John Kerry showing his true self once again. During the debate Kerry used a smart tactic and tried to use George Bush's emotions against him. Kerry recalled the Gulf War when George Bush 41 did not go into Baghdad, after squashing Saddam's war machine, because he did not have an exit strategy. It was a good tactic considering how close the president is to his father. Most people would have been rattled. The president was probably rattled a little. The important issue here is that Kerry exposed another contradiction. Kerry also told us that in order to engage in a pre-emptive strike we should have to pass the world test. I'm sure you remember Bush shaking his head, looking very confused, wanting to know what exactly a world test is. As we all remember there were roughly 36 countries in our coalition in 1992. A coalition that passed what John Kerry calls a world test. The United Nations approved the Gulf War. Sounds fine to Kerry right? Wrong. The Gulf War met all of Kerry's criteria for a right war, in the right place at the right time.Well.....maybe not. John Kerry voted against the Gulf War. So, not surprisingly, Kerry did one thing and then said another. I am not sure anymore if he is coherent or not. He has been all over the map on his positions.

I do actually enjoy when Kerry lets his own words be used against him but I'm just concerned we might not have a clear direction for the next four years. This will be my last post talking about how wrong Kerry is and how much he changes his positions. From this point on I will focus on what is right with President Bush.

Kerry in Cincinnati

Well, John Kerry made a visit to Cincinnati Wednesday trying to ketchup in the poles. His visit and his speech were aimed at trying to eliminate his 7 point deficit in the Ohio polls. I think he probably failed. His speech might have been received well by his staunch supporters but swing voters and republicans can see right through him. I will start with the parts of his speech that were the same old tired message that has proven to be ineffective and then I will discuss the actual few specifics he spoke about.

First off (these points are in no particular order) he made a reference to the 2000 election. It was very subtle and quick but still was pronounced enough to show his lack of judgment and his ignorance. When talking about his health care plan he said that the peoples health care plan should not be any different than the politicians. That's fine. His platform on healthcare is one of the few specifics he spoke of. The problem is he said the elected or the selected. Selected? How tired is that? An overwhelming majority of Americans don't believe that lie and never did. It was clear to me that Kerry said that to try to delegitmize Bush's presidency. That wasn't just tired it was sad. The next tired lie was when he spoke about his energy plan. His energy plan amounted to nothing specific by the way. John Kerry said that we went to war because of our dependence on foreign oil. I don't think people listen anymore when that lie is spoken. If you still believe it was just about oil please tell me why our gas prices are still so high and why we didn't keep any of Iraq's oil.

I want to mention a few generalities now. Kerry's new catch phrase is W stands for wrong. Wrong War, Wrong time, Wrong place. I think W stands for Whe did you vote for it then? Kerry had two sides to his mouth also. At one point he said we shouldn't be spending so much money on Iraq when we still have needs to fund at home. Sounds legitimate. But at another point he said we weren't doing enough to fund the troops and give them the things they need like body armor. Wow he makes my head spin. He is the same guy who recently voted against that very same thing isn't he?

True Lies from the Economic Girlie Men

George Bush said "tax relief is for everyone who pays taxes." That is something that Democrats would not have you believe. They want the middle class to believe that Bush's tax cuts were for the rich and no one else benefited. Well lets just say that's a true lie. The rich did benefit but so did everyone else who pays income tax.

The Congressional Budget Office recently released a report on how the income tax has been affected since 2000. The CBO found that everyone did in fact receive an income tax break. I took the time to read most of the report. I think everyone should. Whether you understand all of it or not, I think its best that everyone keeps themselves informed. Now, here is something the democrats really don't want you to know......Bush's tax cuts are progressive. Yes its true, a republican tax plan can be and is progressive. The wealthy are paying the most taxes and the amount they are paying has increased since the Bush tax plan was enacted. To top that off the lowest two percentiles still pay negative taxes and every other percentile received a break also. That isn't spin, that is fact straight from the bipartisan CBO report. I will give a few specifics.

The bottom 20% of tax payers paid -4.3% income tax under the 2000 law. That means they paid 0 dollars in income tax and received credits. So technically we paid them income taxes. After the Bush plan was enacted they now pay -5.7%. That is more money in their pockets. The next 20% were paying 1.9% in 2000. Now they pay 0.1% which is a full 2% drop. They used to pay income tax, now they don't. In fact, we pay them now. The middle 20% drops from 5.2% in 200 to 3.5%. That is a 1.7% drop. Everyone can do their own math to figure dollar amounts. The top 1% dropped from 24.5% in 2000 down to 19.6% under the Bush plan. You're probably thinking that cant be fair. The top 1% dropped 4.8%. They received the largest tax break by percentage. Lets look at a few more specifics and look at what they actually paid not just what percentile they are in.

The top 1% of incomes paid 31.6%of the income taxes in 2000. Under the Bush tax cuts in 2004 the top 1% are paying 32.3% of the income tax burden. What!? Could it possibly be true? Could the president actually have been right? Could he have actually told the truth? Sounds like voodoo doesn't it? Hhhmmmm. The top 10% went from paying 51.4% to 53.7% of the income tax dollars. Ronald Reagan and George Bush were right. Lets let this sink in for a minute......................Their tax burden was lowered and that allowed them to put more money back into their investments, back into their companies, back into hiring, and back into their pockets. The end result was they ended up earning more money and that resulted in more income tax revenue. It resulted in a progressive income tax that caused the wealthiest of the wealthy to pay more income tax. It caused the poorest to receive more credits and pay no income taxes. It caused the middle to pay less income tax and put more money in their pockets. If you don't believe what I am saying read the report for yourself. Don't let Economic Girlie Men spin you True Lies. I can only ask why. Why in the world should he?! These veterans have the right to tell their side of the story just as much as John Kerry. There are over 60 of them disputing what John Kerry has said about his service in Vietnam. Lets see, 60 to 1. That's 60 people disputing 1 persons account of what happened. I imagine that would put doubts in some peoples minds. It sure does mine. To totally dismiss the accounts of over 60 veterans is a slap in the face to their service to this country. Lets talk about three purple hearts for a minute also. Apparently Kerry never spent a day in the hospital for any of his purple hearts. He won three and got out. Also lets not forget that he already had to change his story about spending Christmas in Cambodia. This has veterans like Bob Dole very upset. Bob Dole lost the use of one of his arms in the Vietnam war. You don't see him waving his medals around saying that they make him presidential. Nor did he do that during his bid for the presidency. Lets not forget either that Kerry did not spend one day in a hospital. They were all superficial wounds. Then when Kerry got out he proceeded to sell out everyone he served with and denounce the war and his country. It amazes me how his military service is being used as a major qualification for his hopeful presidency but it was exactly the opposite for Bill Clinton. We know where Bill was during the draft. Its clear to most that his service was just used to poise himself for a political career. His comments after the war were used for the same thing. Now John Kerry wants to be president and wants us to think that his purple hearts make him qualified for the job. He wants us to support him and just ignore his lies, his waffles, and his selling out of his veteran peers. Its time for an apology. One for the veterans he sold out after the war. One to the President and the republican party for filing an F.C.C. complaint over the Swift Boat Commercial. Yes I am serious. You did not see the President suing Michael Moore or complaining to the F.C.C. over all of the lies and slander in Moore's pseudo-documentary. And how about another apology to the voters. That one should be for treating the voters like we are stupid. Like we are too stupid to see through his career long charade. What is most unfortunate is that most democrats hate Bush so much they will ignore truth believe the lie. Till next time...........

How wonderful life is

Well I have to stop this time and talk about something close to my heart. No not George Bush. But close. I need to talk about how delicate life is and how important family is. I almost lost my wife recently and had no idea what to think. All in one phone call I found out that my wife was trying to commit suicide and my home was in foreclosure. I didn't have a dollar to my name and my wife was being admitted to a psychiatric hospital. Lets just say I was not entertained by that phone call. It was my mother on the other end of the phone and she knew how hard it was for me to hear. I knew how hard it was for her to have to tell me. I then went on what seemed like a whirlwind of events on the road to getting to keep my house. The hardest part was not knowing what was wrong with my wife and if I would get to keep her. Its a shame that you never think about how important someone is to you until you lose them. I am very fortunate. I got to keep her and my children got to keep her. I will never stop thanking God for that. I have learned a few things too. Depression is no joke. A person who battles with depression has a terrible struggle. Teasing them about it even in jest is just wrong. There are people I owe apologies to for giving them a hard time. Well I just wanted to take a minute to talk about how delicate life is and publicly thank God for preserving my family.......

No, that is not the best I can come up with.

Well, it is truth time again about John Kerry. Let me start off by saying that I would love to talk about Kerry's defense spending record but what I really want to discuss is an economy under John Kerry. John is touring the country right now talking about restoring fiscal responsibility to Washington D.C. Kerry said, "We can do this, we can return to the days where we balanced the budget, grew our economy, and spent our money responsibly. We can balance our federal budget so you can grow yours." Wow, John Kerry just painted us a nice fictional picture of his senatorial past. Now lets take a look at the difference between what John Kerry says and what John Kerry does. Let's start with John Kerry saying we balanced the budget. I would like to know what this we is. The budget was balanced in a republican controlled Congress. Also, according to Congressional records, it was John Kerry that voted against a balanced budget amendment 5 different times. In 1994 he voted against spending reductions that would have reduced the deficit by $94 billion. In 1996 John Kerry voted against a bipartisan plan to balance the budget in 7 years. In 1997 John voted against a fiscally responsible budget that cut spending and taxes. Maybe John just does not know what fiscally responsible means. Well, I know what the we is now. Now onto taxes. Kerry says he'll only repeal 2% on the Bush tax cuts. Only the highest 2% of incomes will be affected. The wealthiest of the wealthy. Ok that is what he says, now let's look at what he does. In most recent memory John voted against the Bush tax cut plan in 2001 and 2003. He also voted against ending the marriage penalty. I know a lot of people don't want to believe it but Bush's economic plan is what has brought us out of the recession but we are and have been for quite some time. Those who say we are still in a recession either do not understand economics at it's very base or just hate Bush too much to admit it. Let's travel back to 1990 when John Kerry was voting to increase increase the gas tax. We were then in a recession and Kerry was trying to raise the gas tax and make it harder for middle class workers to live. Maybe that was part of his plan where he said he would help us grow our own budgets. OR NOT. He went at it again in 1993 only this time he was more successful. He was more successful at making life harder on the middle class when he voted again to increase the gas tax. In 1998 he voted against tax cuts proposed under Bill Clinton. He is also the same guy who voted for the largest tax increase in our nations history. The are hundreds of instances where John Kerry voted to raise taxes(roughly 379) but I will not bore you or myself by naming them all. What John says he will do, is clearly different than what he has worked his entire career to do. He believes in higher taxes and higher spending, something the Bush Administration is proposing we change over the next four years. Now, Tim, thank you for your feedback. But I was not just attacking Kerry about his mistreating of the flag. That was very small compared to the bigger picture I was trying to paint. That is that John Kerry says he is one person but really is another. Till next time.......

It's election time....

Well there is no doubt that this election is in high gear and we will soon find out the truth about John Kerry. After his speech at the Democratic Convention I can only conclude that it was the most dishonest speech I have ever heard. When John Kerry said "You see that flag up there. We call her old glory. The stars and stripes forever," I took notice. He went on to talk about serving under that flag and how it was draped over caskets. For a moment I was moved by his words, then, that moment ended. I realized that they were just words and in no way sincere(i'm not sure what i expected). In 1971 John Kery wrote a book titled "The New Soldier." On the cover of this book there are several hippies mocking soldiers and trying to raise a fallen flag like the Iwo Jima photo. The flag was upside down. I wonder if this is the same old glory he spoke of in his speech at the Democratic Convention. I also wondered if that is the same old glory that he voted against protecting in 1995. Yes he voted against protection of the flag. His defense of his vote was very entertaining, citing that we would be no better than totalitarian countries or dictatorships like Iraq. I think we might be finding out the truth about John Kerry. The more I write about this the agrier I get. I wonder how dumb John Kerry thinks we are. The people of this country are not stupid. Well, I am not done telling the truth about John Kerry but I will stop for now.
