The more I read it the more I feel sick
I have always been pro-life. I have always looked for pro-life candidates for public office. The more I read articles like this, the more I feel sick to my stomach. Reading this article gave me more insight into the minds of those who perform abortions and those who have them done. Reading how they justify what they are doing makes me very sad. Thank you for the article. I always find it interesting how two people can read the same thing and come away with such differing views. One point I found most enlightening was the statistics as to when most abortions are performed by gestational age. Over 90% are in the first trimester. If you listen to the pro-life side of the argument you would think that most abortions are performed in the third trimester. The article you had me read even more makes me believe abortion should not be criminalized. I hope you don't get too sick.
Are you pro-life or anti-abortion? If you're pro-life, that means you're against capital punishment too.
Just making sure the term isn't misused...
I have always been pro-choice, as it relates to abortion, and for capital punishment, but as I'm getting older, I'm shifting to pro-life...in the real sense of the word.

This just shows how far we've come as a selfish society. People don't want to be "burdened with children", so they just kill them.
Oh, but at least they kill them in the first trimester, right?
Conservio uses terms like "selfish society", "burdened with children", and "so they just kill them". All very incendiary and not very helpful as we debate a serious issue with valid points on both sides.
Who can possibly say it's better to allow a fetus in the first trimester to be carried until it becomes a much more highly developed life-form, i.e., an infant, and then have this poor infant grow into a child that painfully suffers the daily abuses and tortures of an "unwanted" child? How can anyone with a consciousness and a heart for children really promote this alternative???
